Ella Sherman is originally from London but has spent the past 25 years living and working in Hong Kong and Singapore. She is part Thai and Burmese, so feels very connected to Asia.
Ella has a BA (Hons) Degree majoring in Drama & Theatre Studies from the University of Surrey UK, and gained a 1st Class score for her Film Script Writing module.
While working in a corporate environment in Banking HR Management, Ella was a regular contributor to Think Magazine writing a regular creative fiction column which was well received, and has been interviewed by Channel News Asia and the Financial Times.
Ella is still looking for Prince Charming, but would settle for an Oscar in the meantime. She could be featured in an episode of ‘Animal Hoarders’ or ‘Hoarders,’ take your pick.
Ella wrote the RomCom novel, screenplay and TV series ‘Life is Pants’ which was a finalist at the Asian TV and Film Forum (ATF) 2024; RomCom movie ‘Lucky Bitch’ (2025); and Horror movie ‘My Room Mate Is an Exorcist’ (2025). Ella has 10 other TV and Film screenwriting projects in the pipeline. Her work is globally commercial.
